Student and Candidate Orientation Module

We are excited that you are taking this step to become a member of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries (CIA)! 

As the first step in becoming a Student or Candidate member, you will need to complete an orientation module.

The module takes no more than two hours to complete and must be completed before you apply for Student or Candidate membership.

The orientation module is not your application for Student or Candidate membership.

A Student or Candidate membership is required to attend CIA educational activities, including the mandatory Professionalism Module, a continuing professional development (CPD) requirement.

You will need a CIA user account to complete your orientation module registration. If you do not have one, please create your CIA account.
